home again, home again, jiggety jig
We leave for the U.S.A. in 4 days! Most people assume we're pretty excited about going, and we are. (Don't you just feel the "but" coming on?) But....we also already feel tired due to the schedule we'll be keeping. Our itinerary looks like this:
Monday: fly into Ft.Lauderdale, FL, rent car, drive to Zellwood, FL
Tuesday-Thursday: visit family and friends in Orlando area
Friday AM-drive to Holly Springs, NC, arrive by 5 pm. Visit with friends
Saturday AM--drive to Olney, MD, arrive by 11am. Have lunch with Aunt Carol Cypher
Saturday 1PM--continue to Lancaster, PA. Visit with friends
Sunday AM----Crossway Church Meeting 10AM, Keith leads worship, gives brief update
Sunday afternoon and evening....attempt to see many of our friends in the Lancaster area
Monday AM--Breakfast with friends, possibly a stop at our accountant's office to sign tax forms
Monday 9AM---leave for western PA, arrive for lunch with friends in Indiana, PA
Monday 5-6PM arrive at Kristin's parents house in Butler, PA
Tuesday-Saturday visit with family/friends AND shop for all we're taking back to Nassau
Sunday AM--leave for Tennessee
Sunday 4PM--arrive in Pigeon Forge, TN to meet with/stay with friends
Monday--in TN with friends
Tuesday AM--leave for Ft. Lauderdale (possibly stopping off in Columbia, SC)
Tuesday PM...overnight at hotel
Wednesday---flight back to Nassau
Maybe this helps explain why we have a few mixed feelings about travelling! Please pray for: finances to do this trip and buying the best items to bring back, safety, strength and health as we travel, meaningful visits with family and friends, times of refreshment from the Lord and vision for the future.
Also, pray for our packing to leave, getting the house ready for the house/dog sitter, remembering last minute items like switching cash to American...sometimes businesses aren't fond of doing this without a fee. Also, pray that we can think clearly and prioritize as we plan for what to leave undone.
We are in need of a break, and pray this will provide that. We've been working a lot this summer, and will have the VBS/Music Camp soon after we get back to Nassau. Fun, but lots of planning and stamina needed for that!
Thanks, friends and family...for your love, prayers, and support!
