Monday December 17th we celebrated 18 years of marriage!! And guess where we went to celebrate? You guessed it: NASSAU, BAHAMAS!! Wow. Actually, we just drove to the western side of the island from our eastern home side. The bed and breakfast we stayed at was charming though, and we will most likely go back. Before we arrived, Keith said, "I am going to ask for a free upgrade to an ocean view room. It doesn't hurt to try!" Turns out he didn't even have to ask! Due to the low rate of tourists this time of year, the inn was basically empty and the owner said, "I'm going to upgrade you, no charge!" Yay.

We enjoyed our breezy room and the picturesque little gardens surrounding the inn. For dinner we ventured out to Thai Lotus, a place we've been wanting to try since we moved here. It was good...I highly recommend the Thai Green Curry (Keith's choice) and the spring roll appetizer (though there needed to be about double the amount!) After dinner we walked through the Sheraton resort and investigated the pool and beach area, just in case we ever want to take a few days' vacation! We finished off our trip to town with an order at Starbucks...white chocolate mocha for me and holiday pumpkin roll for Keith, then headed back to our inn. I've tried to capture the pretty spot we stayed in. Hope you like the pics!
