All in one day

Yesterday, the 4th of July, was a banner day for the Buntings.  We got to pick up our potcake puppy...(say that fast 3 times "pick up our potcake puppy!) and go to our first Bahamian Birthday party.  Fun, fun, fun.  We really had no plans for the 4th, as it's obviously not celebrated here, so we were happy to be invited over to a family in our church's home for the afternoon...and evening!  There was a waterslide, red, white, and blue theme, and lots of goodies to eat, so we never missed our own American holiday. 

Our puppy, Kali (short for Kalypso) is a total sweetheart!  She is a people dog...to the point that she really doesn't want to leave our side while we're out with her.  She's about 4 months old and is a local variety dog...one of the potcake "breed" here in the Bahamas.  She and her siblings were found in Coral Harbor, about 15 minutes away.  She whined for about 10 minutes last night, but that was after she got pelted with rain...who can blame her?  We moved her cage to a better spot, and she quickly settled down.  So far, she is nothing but cute.  Enjoy the pics!
