No More Excuses
Well, as I live and breathe, I am typing this on my own new laptop...brought to me about 45 minutes ago by my wonderful husband! It's "new" in the sense that it's been refurbished with new parts, but it is the only computer that's ever been all my own. Woo-Hoo! So I now have no excuses for not blogging in a timely fashion. No more, "Kids, get off the computer...I need to blog, check e-mail, make an order..." I am footloose and fancy free, my friends.
Several weeks ago, Keith had asked me what I most need in a computer. He saw that I was fighting for time to get homeschooling tasks done, and that often the time the computer was most available was the time after the kids were in bed...and I was exhausted. His desire to bless me for "working so hard," as he put it, took shape in the form of doing some shopping around for this newly re-built little gem. This is hands down, the most thoughtfully practical gift I could receive!
We received a healthy tax refund this year, so we knew we'd be buying a few things that have been on the "not now" list this year....I certainly never expected this! But also, as we gear up to move to Nassau in just a few months, we need to buy any and all electronics we will need while we're still here in the US. This same computer would be probably 3x the price in the Bahamas. Yes, there are downsides to living "in Paradise." Well, I will sign off for now, but look for me to be back on the blog soon! Thank you Honey!!
