all at once
This week has held some answers to prayer in very specific ways. The biggest of which happened today! We had been hoping to purchase a gas grill since moving to Nassau. But the prices on such an item here are just not in the budget for us. A grill here is easily double what the U.S. would sell it for. THEN....I thought to ask my friend Heidi at www.heidijokemp.com
if they might have one they'd like to sell, since they are moving to Florida soon. YES!! They did. And the price was right! Actually, so right. In fact, she tried to take less than she originally said, but we insisted...and her husband even treated the rusty parts with a rust inhibitor before he helped Keith load it in our van. While we talked and got the grill ready to load, our girls got to enjoy some long-awaited time with Heidi's daughters. We're sad they are moving to the U.S., but happy for them!
Other little ways the Lord provided this week were in helping us find a Christmas tree in our budget, providing a great time of food and fellowship with our church on Wednesday night, and allowing our Thanksgiving dinner to turn out well for my first time as the head chef. We also found a quick fix for our dryer...the outside vent, which has a screen on it (to keep out bugs like cockroaches and tarantulas, no doubt) needed some serious cleaning. Now the dryer is running without stopping 5 minutes into its cycle from overheating! Yay. Life just got a little easier. And guess what we're having for dinner? Turkey Burgers on the grill!! It's been years since we've been able to grill out.
Thank you Lord, for all the little ways you care for us. We know your timing is best, even when we think it is too long of a wait. You store up goodness for your beloved.
